We retreated to Mt. Crawford, VA for Inauguration with Josh & Cory, and we all cried tears of joy watching our first woman VP get sworn in!

Julia & Andrew celebrated a full decade of dating in February!

So grateful for 4 fully paid months of maternity leave and the dedicated time and space to learn the ropes of being a mom!

We visited Lovett’s great grandparents, Mimi & Papa, in Arkansas in March and got to celebrate Papa’s 90th birthday!

We embraced the flexibility of remote work and spent the month of April in Houston!

We officially (and affectionately) coined “Moose” as Pam’s grandmother name and she was babysitter extraordinaire while we were in Houston!

Hooray for science and vaccines!!

Lovett started daycare in May and we’re so grateful for childcare partners who are patient and kind and love her and teach her great tricks like choreography to “Twinkle, Twinkle”.

We visited our Brooklyn besties for Memorial Day and Lovett met sand in the Rockaways!

Lovett was diagnosed with developmental hip dysplasia at six months. She had an operation in June to relocate her hip and rocked a hot pink spica cast for the next 12 weeks. She was a complete trooper every step of the way, and we’re so grateful that the intervention was successful and she got a healthy hip report from her orthopedic surgeon in December.

We spent a delightful, lazy Fourth of July in Delaware with our extended DC family. Julia & Cory were champions of our corn hole tournament. ;-)

We made a very quick visit to the Poconos with the Dolans in July!

Uncle Gar moved to DC in September!

Lovett got her cast off in September!! Yay!!

She wore this rhino brace for the next three months to keep helping her hip stabilize and heal.

One of the best parts of getting her cast off was getting to take real baths again!!

Julia & Liz had a dreamy girls weekend in Connecticut.

After ∞ reschedules, we finally went to an Avett Brothers concert at Wolf Trap!

We started hitting the neighborhood swing/park circuit hard this fall.

Our BFFs, Josh & Cory, got married in DC in early October!

Our BFFs, Liz & Seb, got married three weeks later in Brooklyn!

Love the bug was a ladybug for her first Halloween.

We attempted a family “Bug’s Life” costume. Nola was best dressed with her papier-mâché shell.

We celebrated Thanksgiving in Needham with Grandma, Gov & Auntie Kiki!

After a 2020 hiatus, we resumed our Turkey Trot tradition with the Wellesley Trot.

Lovett turned one in early December and we’re so grateful we got to have a real celebration with family & friends!

Lovett met Santa! She was neither happy, nor sad, just kind of stunned.

We introduced Lovett to Georgetown basketball with a victory over Syracuse!

We celebrated a lovely low key Christmas on the Eastern Shore of Maryland with Moose & Gar.
